Timor-Leste is a small country in Southeast Asia, it is known as a Catholic country because the majority of the citizens here are holding on to the faith of Catholicism. So, it is not a surprise that we celebrate most of the Catholic events as a national event as well. For example, we have Christmas, Good Friday, Day of Immaculate Conception, All Saints Day, All Souls Day, and many more. This culture has been around since the arrival of Portugal in the year of 1515. You can say it has been there forever. Today I am just reminded of the very first memory I had in celebrating All souls Day. It was like every other year people bring flowers, candles and also some other things that related to the loving passing family members, form every generation that the living family could remember mostly cigarettes' and money. People bring those things to the grave of their families. And my very first memory was a happy 10 cent coin among the flowers, I was extremely happy because of that finding....
